We are pleased to announce some news. The NASAPP project, which EURECAT presented to the 2nd Call for Commercial Projects of PORTS 4.0, with the support of the Port Authority of Tarragona, has been selected.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Forty-three projects were submitted to this round, 18 projects were approved and finally, when the budget was distributed, 12 projects will be able to receive funding. The NASAPP project has received the 3rd highest score of all the approved projects, 94 points out of 100.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This project has a budget of 232.910,25\u20ac. It has obtained a grant from PORTS 4.0 of 65%, \u20ac 151,391.66. The remaining 35%, 81,518.58\u20ac, will be financed by EURECAT.<\/span><\/p>\n

The implementation of this project will allow the Port of Tarragona to have this new and innovative platform.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

NASAPP is a SaaS multilayer data platform that allows monitoring odors in real time through the concept of citizen science or participation, modifying the current tools for measuring odor concentration with field olfactometry, with studies of dispersion of pollutants and\/or in laboratories using human sensors to estimate the concentration of odors and their dispersion in the territory. In addition, the platform has back tracking algorithms that allow to locate and contextualize the origin of the odor episode.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is materialized as an app and with a web manager capable of integrating the olfactory sensory perception of citizens in real time with the aim of acting as an early warning system of critical events and environmental monitoring by determining the source, thus overcoming the limitations of current equipment that does not allow to quantify in situ odor episodes with the precision of human sense of smell.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The platform is already commercialized in non-port environments. The grant now received by EURECAT will allow to enhance the competitive advantages of the platform in order to achieve full commercialization of the platform, including:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
