In the framework of the 30th anniversary of Puertos del Estado, on November 30, 2022, an interesting conference was held on innovation in the port logistics sector called “Rumbo 30. We present the ports of the future”, with the participation of the President, the General Director and the Head of the Department of Studies and Innovation of the APT.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During this event, the innovation strategy for ports, which is included in the new Strategic Framework of the General Interest Port System, was presented.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u202f<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Subsequently, in a round table with Presidents of various Port Authorities, the strategic lines of innovation developed in this new Strategic Framework were discussed.\u00a0 The strategic lines of digitalization were also addressed.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During the event, 14 of the projects already selected for the two calls of Ports 4.0 were presented. All of them are highly collaborative projects, in which Port Authorities participate, and that offer answers to the needs of increasingly automated and robotized ports.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another round table was also held to discuss the bottlenecks involved in the effective introduction of innovation in the Port Community and in the logistics chain.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This was followed by a conference on the “Ethical Aspects of Artificial Intelligence”.\u00a0 During this conference it became evident that the ethical aspects associated with the implementation of new technologies is a vitally important issue.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The day was a gathering where administration, entrepreneurs and innovation companies shared interests and discussed the most relevant issues of innovation in ports, in which ongoing projects and the possibilities of new developments occupied most of the day.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
