The Port of Tarragona is taking another step in the deployment of its 2025-2030 Innovation Plan with the launch of the renovated SOM-INN PORT website, an action that forms part of the 19 actions defined in the Innovare Plan to advance towards the 2030 Vision: “To be a reference port in the Mediterranean in innovation applied to the digitalisation and sustainability of port logistics operations, fostering the growth of an active, connected blue economy and talent ecosystem.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Specifically, the website renewal falls within the Processes and Tools area of the action plan of the Innovare Plan 2025-2030, aimed at maintaining and improving our digital tools (website and innovation platform) that facilitate collaboration, knowledge generation and the dissemination of innovation among all the agents of the open innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the main new features is a complete renewal of the Innovation Observatory<\/strong>, which is much more intuitive and easier to consult, strengthening SOM-INN PORT’s competitive and technological intelligence activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To facilitate navigation, a search engine allows content to be filtered according to whether it concerns internal or external cases, as well as by thematic areas such as: Digitalisation, Data and Artificial Intelligence, Operational Efficiency, Safety, Blue Economy, Automation and Robotics, Smart Ports, Logistics Chain or Green Energy, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The new website also strengthens the connection with the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Startups, companies and technology centres, and entrepreneurs wishing to submit innovative ideas or projects to the Ports 4.0 programme and other calls now have direct access to a specific form,<\/strong> through which they can submit their proposals quickly and easily so that the Port of Tarragona can act as their facilitating agent by carrying out their pilots at the port’s own facilities. This functionality aims to professionalise the capture of new innovation initiatives and consolidates SOM-INN PORT as a gateway for open innovation at the Port of Tarragona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The renewal has involved a complete reconstruction of the website on a new, more robust, secure and efficient technological foundation<\/strong>. In terms of its visual identity, the SOM-INN PORT brand identity has been applied with greater consistency and care, now deployed through a unified design system that reinforces its personality and gives it a more modern and polished appearance. The platform is also fully responsive \u2014optimally adapting to mobile phones, tablets and computers\u2014 and remains trilingual (Catalan, Spanish and English). In addition, the structure and content have been reorganised, with clearer and more intuitive navigation that facilitates access to knowledge and to the different tools of the innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The renewal also includes a comprehensive update of the platform’s visual identity and part of its structure, with a more modern design, more intuitive navigation, and better organisation of the content. All of this makes it possible to offer a more agile user experience and facilitate access to knowledge and the different tools of the innovation ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With this new website, SOM-INN PORT reinforces its commitment to open innovation and knowledge transfer, making a constantly evolving and updated tool available to the entire port community that contributes to identifying opportunities, generating new ideas and projects, and promoting collaboration between the port community itself, companies and technology centres, startups, universities and training centres, and entities linked to innovation.
