The project, led by the Municipal Institute for Local Development Vallsgenera, which is a SOM-INN PORT member, has the participation of the Community and Inclusive Action Plan, the Valls Basic Urban Health Area, teachers and students of the Narc\u00eds Oller Secondary School and the entities of the CatSud Collaboratory.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Project description:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The project “VR 360. Sensory emotional well-being for the elderly” is a digital and social innovation initiative that seeks to use virtual reality to improve the emotional well-being of the elderly and people in situations of dependency.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Using immersive 360\u00ba videos and virtual reality glasses, it allows users to experience the sensation of walking through natural environments and live new sensory experiences without having to physically move.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This innovative therapeutic technique uses virtual reality methodologies to help improve the self-esteem, mood and ability to concentrate of the elderly and other dependent groups.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Project objectives:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To harness the potential of virtual reality to improve the emotional and personal well-being of the elderly and people in a situation of dependency. Through immersive experiences, the project aims to facilitate sensory stimulation, improve the mood and promote the concentration of users. It also aims to contribute to greater self-esteem among the elderly and other dependent groups.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The project also has an educational component, as it seeks to train students at the Narc\u00eds Oller High School in the creation of virtual reality content and in the evaluation of the effects that this content can have on emotional well-being.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The project is promoted by the Valls Collaboratory, which is the programme through which Vallgenera, the municipal institute for economic development in Valls, aims to transfer innovative skills to society. Connecting the agents of the Quadruple Helix in various projects that have a real impact on society.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the important benefits of this project is the improvement of the self-esteem and general well-being of the users. The sensory and emotional experiences offered by virtual reality allow dependent people to explore new environments and experience new sensations.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, this project offers a comprehensive learning opportunity for the participating students. Through the creation of virtual reality content and emotional impact assessment, learners acquire valuable skills in this emerging technological field.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
