SOM-INN PORT met with Lloyd Milen, Consul General of the United Kingdom, and Patrick Jodar, Trade & Investment Advisor, on 27 May. The Consul visited the Port of Tarragona to hold working meetings with various departments, to learn first-hand about projects related to cruises, energy transition and decarbonisation, and innovation.
The director of the Department of Studies and Innovation and Coordinator of SOM-INN PORT, Carme Tarragó, explained the operation and results obtained so far with the Open Innovation Ecosystem of the Port of Tarragona, the innovation projects that are being carried out in the Port of Tarragona and the opportunity that Ports 4.0 represents to accelerate innovation projects in the logistics-port sector.
As a result of this meeting, the possibilities of collaboration with entities in the United Kingdom will be explored.
