SOM-INN PORT participated on September 16 in the awards ceremony of the third edition of the TIC Catalunya Sud Awards, which took place at firaReus Events, at the Tecnoparc Technology and Innovation Park. The initiative, promoted by REDESSA and the TIC Catalunya Sud Cluster, both members of SOM-INN PORT, reached a record level of participation this year, with 41 applications, 70% more than in each of the first two editions.

The TIC Catalunya Sud Awards aim to recognise companies, professionals and initiatives that contribute to the technological, economic and social development of the counties in southern Catalonia, as well as to highlight the talent and innovative capacity of the territory.

The call also highlighted the territorial diversity of the technological ecosystem of Southern Catalonia, with applications from municipalities ranging from Baix Penedès to Terres de l’Ebre.

The event featured an opening conference by Miquel Martí, CEO of Tech Barcelona, who shared his vision of the challenges and opportunities facing the technology sector and the role of innovation ecosystems in economic development.

REDESSA and the TIC Catalunya Sud Cluster, promoters of the awards and members of SOM-INN PORT, exemplify precisely the importance of collaboration between different agents to generate opportunities, share knowledge and give visibility to the talent of the territory.

The event was attended by institutional and business representatives, including Teresa Riesgo, Secretary General for Innovation at the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, who closed the event.
