Once again this year, SOM-INN PORT has participated in these two congresses, considered to be some of the most important in the field of innovation worldwide, which were held simultaneously at the Fira de Barcelona at the Hospitalet de Llobregat facilities, from 26 to 29 February.
During the 18th edition of the MWC, with the slogan “Future First”, the technology giants have prioritised showing how to integrate new technologies to presenting new terminals. Artificial intelligence and sustainability were the protagonists of this year’s edition, which was attended by 101,000 visitors from 205 countries and 2,700 exhibitors, sponsors and partners.
4YFN is the most relevant entrepreneurship event in Europe, which is associated with MWC Barcelona, the largest connectivity congress in the world. 4YFN is a unique space for startups to connect with investors, companies and institutions in a privileged environment of entrepreneurship and exchange, to advance in the fast-paced world of innovation and drive new businesses.
This year the 4YFN, in its 10th edition, with the slogan “Connected Minds. Leaders of Green Futures“, had 88,500 attendees, 785 startups and exhibitors from 39 countries participated. 250 startup pitches have been made and 1,000 investors and venture capital have taken part. There were 375 speakers, of which 39% were women.
The aim of this event is to boost startups by providing them with contacts, exposure and investments from the beginning of their life cycle. With a particular focus on innovation, 4YFN has served as a showcase for the latest trends and developments in various industries, including healthcare, digital technology, and sustainability.
The variety of panels, presentations, and networking events has provided a platform to share knowledge, explore collaborations, and promote the advancement of innovative solutions to current and future challenges.
APPORTT Association for the promotion of the Port of Tarragona, with the support of the Port of Tarragona, has recently created the Blue Innovation Hub, an initiative that offers Venture Building services, startup accelerator and Corporate Venturing, to promote innovation and entrepreneurship linked to the blue economy in the Port of Tarragona.
