Project description
ABZU is an application that serves as a tool to bring together all the parties involved in the port supply chain. Currently, this application allows using a single channel to manage the different variables involved in the berthing of a ship. In this way, it facilitates internal communication and the homogenization of procedures and payments.
The next step is the integration of blockchain technology into the port environment to speed up payments to all companies involved in a port operation. In addition, work is also being done on incorporating the traceability of fishery products and of the different goods.
The pilot test of the project was carried out in the port of Burela (Lugo) with a ship from Portugal and proved to be a success.
Project objectives
The objective is to optimize the time and cost of port operations, including all companies with participation in the port, through direct and fluid communication.
