Project description

The port of Ashdod has launched an incubation programme for start-ups in the global port sector. A call is issued for companies dedicated to the development of innovative technologies and products in the maritime, logistics and energy field, of which 10 will be selected. These will receive the support of specialists, as well as the opportunity to disseminate their technologies in all ports of the world. In this way the benefit is mutual. On the one hand, the port benefits from the knowledge that the startups can contribute. On the other hand the start-ups will enter a network of foreign companies with which to associate. In addition, one of the great advantages for the startups is that they are developed within a supportive incubator. Not only that, but they have a place to gain real experience while maintaining direct contact with the port, which increases their chances of obtaining funding.

Project objectives

This project has two main objectives. On the one hand, it will serve to strengthen the technological development of the port and thus continue to be a leader in maritime technology. In this way, the Port of Ashdod will have a competitive advantage over its operations and services compared to the rest of the ports. On the other hand, this project seeks to create a network of relationships with other accelerators so that the startups can transfer their technologies to different ports and obtain a common benefit.
