On Wednesday, 29th of April , the training session about “Innovation Strategies” was held, with the title: “Innovating in times of crisis”, within the framework of the activities of the new Open Innovation Cycle of Som-Inn Port. The training was conducted in digital format to be adapted to the current situation as a result of COVID-19, which prevents us from doing face-to-face sessions.
In this training we had Joan Ras, co-founder of SDLI, as expert in innovation strategies, who first gave us theoretical content and then answered different questions at the end of the session.
The session was focused on showing change management strategies in high uncertainty environments and help to identify sources of opportunities in the current crisis due to COVID-19.
Joan Ras explained that the acceleration of change is unstoppable and the worst option given this fact is to do nothing. For this reason, it presents the SDLI Model of crisis management, which is made up of three phases: Survive, Then Raise and Innovate. In this model, Innovation is the central axis of the three phases. Finally, he ended up reflecting on the importance of advancing ourselves by predicting new scenarios to create new futures.
In the virtual training, 46 attendees participated. In addition, a filming of the presentation and the answers to the questions that the participants were asking was made. This video has been posted on the Som-Inn Port digital platform so attendees and the rest of the members and innovation agents of the Port of Tarragona Innovation Ecosystem can consult it.
