The new Ports 4.0 call for pre-commercial projects is now open!

The new call for pre-commercial projects under Ports 4.0, promoted by Puertos del Estado, is now open. It was published in the BOE on December 21, 2024.

It is aimed at projects that develop new technologies, introduce a new product, service or innovative process in the market or improve existing ones, with direct application to the logistics-port ecosystem. Projects can have a duration of up to 36 months.

The priority innovation areas of the call are the following:

1. Logistical efficiency in the field of infrastructure, operations or service delivery.
2. Environmental and energy sustainability.
3. Safety and security, including cybersecurity and automation of controls.
4. Digitalization of intelligent processes and platforms.
5. Any other innovative product, service or process that has an impact on the port logistics sector, the nautical sector or the port fishing sector.

The total endowment is €11.25M and each grant can cover up to 60% of the costs associated with the innovation component of each project, with a maximum limit of €1M per project.
