On 27 September, the Port Authority of Tarragona presented the Port’s current Innovation strategy during the “Innovation Fridays” session organised by the Innovation Community of the Spanish Association of Quality (AEC).
This activity is carried out, by streaming on the last Friday of each month, in order to discover in an easy and attractive way how the different member organizations of this innovation community are organized around innovation and its relevant learning, of which more than 250 people from 150 different entities from all over the country are part.

The Port Authority of Tarragona is a member of the ACS Innovation Community, while the ACS has been a member of SOM-INN PORT, since the beginning of our activities.
For this occasion, Carme Tarragó, Head of the Innovation Department of the Port Authority of Tarragona and coordinator of SOM-INN PORT, was invited to introduce the attendees to the current innovation strategy of the Port of Tarragona through a TED-type talk where the following were discussed:
- Experiences in the management and development of the Open Innovation Ecosystem of the Port of Tarragona: SOM-INN PORT.
- Promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship linked to the blue economy: Blue Innovation Hub.
- Spanish ports tradetech fund: Ports 4.0

After the talk there was time to receive and answer questions. To end the session, as usual, there was a round of conversations among the attendees, Speed Dating, to connect and network among the members of the community.
